Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
Lowcountry Clean Care is committed to making its website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how the site is built and maintained, not a one-time project.
Measures We Take
Our site is built and maintained to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Practical measures include: semantic HTML structure and page landmarks; text alternatives for meaningful images; keyboard-operable navigation, menus and forms; visible focus indicators; colour combinations chosen to meet AA contrast ratios; labelled form fields; and an automated accessibility scan of every page of the site before and after each release.
Conformance Status
We consider this site substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Automated testing of all 51 public pages against the WCAG 2.0/2.1 A and AA rule sets found no violations in content we control. Automated tools cover only part of the WCAG success criteria, so we describe the site as substantially rather than fully conformant, and we list the known exceptions below.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, the following parts of the site are not fully accessible. They are outside our direct control, and we are pursuing alternatives:
- The Google Maps embed in our footer renders interactive controls generated by Google. Some of those controls do not expose an accessible name, and Google’s own map information window uses text contrast below AA. Our address and phone number are always available as plain text next to the map, so no information is only available inside it.
- Our contact and offer forms are served by our forms platform. We have verified their labels and keyboard operation, but their markup is maintained by that vendor.
- Email addresses in the footer are obfuscated by our security provider to reduce spam; they are rendered as normal links once the page loads.
Compatibility With Browsers and Assistive Technology
The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile, and with the assistive technology built into those platforms. It may not work well with browser versions more than three years old.
Technical Specifications
Accessibility of this site relies on HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS and JavaScript. The site is served as static pages, so content is present in the HTML rather than assembled after load.
Assessment Approach
Assessed by LeadWorks on 26 August 2026 using automated testing with axe-core 4.10.2 (rule sets wcag2a, wcag2aa, wcag21a, wcag21aa) across all 51 public pages at a 1440×900 viewport, together with checks of keyboard navigation and page structure. We have not conducted testing with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver, and we do not claim results we have not measured. We re-scan the site quarterly and before any template change.
